The new CAPM exam will reflect the freshest content from A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide) – Sixth Edition (released in September 2017), which includes information on the latest agile approaches and how to integrate them with traditional project management practices.
Or, if you’d prefer, you can still take the current CAPM exam based on the PMBOK® Guide – Fifth Edition until 20 May.
Please note: The last day to pay your exam fee for the current exam is 10 May and the last day to schedule or reschedule your exam is 13 May.
Why is the CAPM Exam Changing?
The CAPM exam tests your knowledge of the PMBOK® Guide, which we update every five years to reflect ongoing changes in project management practices and the business environment.
We will open the new CAPM exam to all candidates on 21 May (after the pilot period ends). The new exam reflects content from the PMBOK® Guide – Sixth Edition.
What is Changing?
If you are taking the new exam based on the PMBOK® Guide – Sixth Edition, you should note the following updates to the Guide:
A new chapter on the role of the project manager. The new exam will test on the competencies, experience, and skills of effective project leaders across four distinct learning objectives.
