Overview

Project Managers, will we be replaced by Artificial Intelligence (AI)? Perhaps not. However, project managers who understand how to apply AI in the workplace will almost certainly replace those who choose to ignore or avoid it!

We are experiencing a technological breakthrough that has no historical analogy to provide perspective. The power of AI is so great as to not be understood by those closest to it, as witnessed by the turmoil within the industry itself. The power being unleashed is unimaginable and seemingly untamable, and yet, tame it we must!

Now more than ever we need to bring humanity to the workplace. Emotional intelligence, empathy, and compassion are leadership qualities that are based on feelings. The ability to integrate logic with emotions and apply them toward a positive outcome is a uniquely human characteristic. How well a machine can emulate these traits is as much a philosophical question as it is a technological one.

As leaders in the workplace, we have a moral obligation to be more than a witness to this evolution. We must work hard to understand it and to harness it for good. In embracing this technology as a tool, we will be able to solve problems in seconds that would take even the most impressive mathematicians among us minutes, hours, or even days to solve.

Working collaboratively with our colleagues we can resolve previously unresolved problems such as resource optimization across functional hierarchies. Using data to drive decision-making will drive a new power structure, rather than a power structure driving priorities that are at odds with what is best for business or enterprise.

We hope you’ll join us for an exploration of this exciting new era in project management. Discover the latest tools that you can use to propel your teams into the future of project management!
