Scheduling of programs with repetitive projects

The Line of Balance (LOB) technique is a tool that presents actual progress versus planned progress of projects that manufacture or construct repetitive projects. The four steps to the LOB application are to: develop a delivery schedule, develop a plan of operation, develop a progress charge, and analyze the results of the LOB.The delivery schedule, also called the Master Production Schedule (MPS), is a schedule of planned deliveries. The flexibility built into contracts that use this program will be able to use this scheduling tool which helps provide alternative schedules for consideration.
