Dr. Kelly Heuer
Dr. Kelly Heuer is Vice President of Learning at Project Management Institute, where she leads PMI’s global Learning division and its work to help project professionals keep learning as the world of work changes.
Kelly oversees a portfolio spanning professional standards and publications, live and enterprise training, digital and on-demand learning, and career-long professional development. That work is grounded in a simple idea: project success depends not only on technical knowledge, but on judgment, adaptability, business acumen, and the human capacity to learn through change.
Before joining PMI, Kelly served as Vice President of Learning Experience at edX, where she helped shape digital learning strategy and innovation at global scale. Earlier in her career, she taught at Georgetown University, where she helped launch the university’s first massive open online course in bioethics and co-founded its ethics and social innovation lab.
Kelly holds a B.A. from Harvard University and an M.A. and Ph.D. from Georgetown University, all in philosophy. A first-generation college graduate and lifelong learner, she is committed to expanding access to education and creating more pathways into professional growth.
