As a member of the PMI Board of Directors and Chair of the Board’s Strategy and Oversight Committee, I am honored to serve a global community of professionals who are helping to build a better, more project-driven world. Every day, I’m inspired by your commitment, your leadership, and your belief in our purpose of maximizing project success to elevate our world.

I’m thrilled to invite you to join me and my fellow Board of Directors, along with thousands of project professionals and volunteers from around the world at PMI® Global Summit 2025, taking place 12–15 November in Phoenix, Arizona. This is the premier gathering of our profession, where ideas spark, connections grow, and the future of project management takes shape through the continued implementation and adoption of our PMI:Next Strategy, fulfilling PMI’s vision and mission. Among the many opportunities to learn, network, and celebrate together, I want to highlight the PMI Annual Membership Meeting, happening Thursday, 13 November, 5:00–5:45 p.m. local time—both in person at Global Summit and virtually via livestream on the PMI Channel on YouTube.

Of the many Global Summit sessions, the Annual Membership Meeting is your chance to connect directly with PMI leadership, hear the latest member news and learn what’s ahead for our community.  As part of our commitment to transparency and two-way dialogue, we’re inviting you to submit your questions, insights, and topics for discussion by 15 September 2025 using this online form.

This year’s Global Summit will feature new and expanded opportunities to network, learn and celebrate excellence among our many global volunteers. During the exclusive Volunteer Appreciation Session, PMI volunteers are invited to join us as we honor the seven 2025 Chapter Leadership Impact Award winners and showcase the finalists for Chapter of the Year from each PMI region.

Then, after the Annual Membership Meeting on 13 November, everyone is invited to step onto the red carpet for the all-new PMI Awards Event, where we will announce the recipients of our PMI Global Awards – including honors for outstanding projects, PMOs, individuals, chapters, and our most prestigious recognition, the PMI Fellow Award. These awards celebrate those who exemplify our culture values and advance our purpose.

We are also celebrating the Project Management Institute Educational Foundation’s (PMIEF) incredible legacy of 35 years and nearly 10 million youth enablement worldwide. Today, PMIEF is stronger than ever and continues to put youth on the path to success by incorporating project management skills into their daily lives. On behalf of the entire Board of Directors, we extend our sincere appreciation to everyone who has supported PMIEF over the past three decades. In closing, I have attended many Global Summits over the span of my career, whilst delivering project success through major complex transformations for global corporates. The learning, network and community gained at Global Summit has been an invaluable asset to my career.
