Overview

Today, change is everywhere and all organizations—irrespective of size, sector, or location—must embrace change and the opportunities and business value it brings. This training offers a structured approach to transitioning individuals, teams, and organizations from a current state to a desired future state. Change needs to be sustainable and therefore requires a project-based approach to its planning, implementation, and preserving so behaviors change and remain changed. Strong leadership is critical and must be effective for success to be achieved and sustained.

The training will focus on the philosophy of Plan, Do, Sustain—a common strategy used in change management. Exercises and a case study are blended throughout the training to let learners apply their acquired knowledge in a simulated situation. Documentation appendices for this training contain tools, templates, and supporting information.

      Iain Fraser

      Iain Fraser, PMP, PMI Fellow, is globally recognized as an expert in modern business, portfolio, program of work, and project management practices. Iain has worked around the world in the banking/finance, defense, engineering, government, oil & gas, power, and telecommunications sectors. Today he is an author, speaker, trainer, and professional director. He has keynoted many business events and acted as MC/Host at others.

      Former CEO of Project Plus Ltd, a professional services organization, Iain now consults for organizations embracing change. Iain is a member of the 'globalScot' business network and has been listed as a notable person in the Who's Who of Professionals directory. He holds a certificate in Company Direction from the Institute of Directors amongst other qualifications. During 2006 he was Chairman of the global Board of Directors of the Project Management Institute (PMI). He spent 6 years on the board where he oversaw a period of considerable growth and global expansion.

      His business books sell to leaders globally. In addition, he has had articles published in various business media including The Telegraph and The Times of the UK. His areas of focus include business and portfolio governance; portfolio and program management consultancy; business speaking, training and mentoring; EPMO/PMOs; value management; organizational change management; and benefits realization management.
