Overview

This 4-day in-person Master Class is aimed at experienced managers and PMO leads who want to further their career and help their organization consistently deliver value. It will build your confidence in managing complex, multi-disciplinary teams across departments to deliver organizational strategies and objectives. Redefine the mandate, governance and strategy of your PMO to have a true organizational impact and deliver value consistently. You will learn to define and measure the value of organizational initiatives and align them to stakeholder objectives. In this class, we will explore the Value Stream, from stakeholders’ needs and expectations to the delivery of value to their satisfaction. It includes concepts of Complexity, Lean, Disciplined Agile, and Rolling Wave approaches.

    • Michel Thiry, PMI Fellow

      Michel Thiry

      Michel has extensive global experience and has worked across a wide range of cultural environments. He is widely recognized as a global authority in the integration of project, program, portfolio, and value management at organizational level. 

      He has supported the development and implementation of portfolio frameworks and strategic programs for major organizations across sectors including construction, finance, healthcare, IT and IS, telecommunications, water treatment, transportation (air and rail), government agencies, and others, using agile and change concepts. Currently, Michel champions the Value Stream approach to support government and enterprise transformation—promoting continual and sustainable value delivery through program management and the evolution of the PMO into a value management office.

      Michel is the award-winning author of A Framework for Value Management Practice and Program Management and co-contributor to: Handbook of Project Management, Wiley Guide to Project, Program and Portfolio Management, PMI Standard for Program Management, and PMI Practice Guide to Managing Change in OrganizationsHe holds an MSc in Organizational Behavior from University of London, and a PhD from Middlesex University. In 2014, he was awarded the PMI Eric Jenett Project Management Excellence Award for outstanding contributions to the practice of the profession, and leadership in advancing project management concepts, techniques, practices, or theories.
