Project Management Professional (PMP)®

Now including predictive, agile, and hybrid approaches, the globally recognized PMP certification exam verifies an individual’s ability to lead projects and navigate uncertainty using any way of working.

PMP certification holders can help teams spearhead tangible change, better oversee projects, and reduce the amount of time and resources wasted by working smarter.

PMP Eligibility Requirements

  • 4-year college degree
  • 3 years of experience leading and directing projects
  • 5 years of experience leading and directing projects (without a 4-year degree)
  • 35 hours of project management coursework (Need an online class option?)

If you do not meet this criteria, consider the CAPM Certification (see below) instead.

Funding Opportunities

  • Army and Air Force/Space Force provide assistance for eligible service members (Army $4,000 annual and Air Force/Space Force $4,500 over career)
  • Government Purchase Card (GPC) provides on the spot purchasing, receiving and payment authority for certain individuals
  • Those who qualify for the GI Bill may use part of their entitlement to cover test fees up to $2,000 for a job that requires license or certification

Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)®

Regardless of career stage or project management experience, the CAPM can distinguish individuals in the job market and enhance credibility and effectiveness working on, or with, project teams.

The Certified Associate in Project Management certification offers recognition to practitioners who are interested in, or just starting a career in project management, as well as project team members who wish to demonstrate their project management knowledge.

CAPM Eligibility Requirements

  • Secondary degree (high school diploma, associate’s degree or the global equivalent)
  • 23 hours of project management education completed by the time you sit for the exam. Our Project Management Basics online course fulfills this educational prerequisite.
