The Telly Awards

2023 Gold Award Winner - Social Impact and 2023 Gold Award Winner - Craft Directing: Hours for Impact - Tejiendos Futuros (Weaving Futures) Video

In partnership with Mulme Ltd, Project Management Institute has received two Gold Awards from The Telly Awards in the categories of Social Video General - Social Impact and Social Video Craft - Directing for a video that was created as a part of the Hours for Impact program.

The Telly Awards honor excellence in video and television across all screens.

This award-winning video tells the story of a community in Guatemala and a women named Ingrid Villaseñor who manages an organization called  Tejiendo Futuros (Weaving Futures) that runs a network of programs to educate, feed, provide medical care, and raise aspirations for vulnerable families.

Power of A Silver Award Winner - The Power of Community Support and Engagement: Global Celebration of Service

The Power of A Awards recognize and celebrate the extraordinary contributions associations make to society by enriching lives, creating a competitive workforce, preparing society for the future, driving innovation and making a better world.

We have been named a 2020 Power of A Silver Award winner in The Power of Community Support and Engagement category for our Global Celebration of Service initiative. This category recognizes associations who provide community support and engagement by promoting volunteerism and civic engagement. The PMI community pledged and contributed 151, 874 hours of service towards the UN Sustainable Development Goals—more than 300% of our original goal. More importantly, hundreds of communities—and thousands of individuals—have been positively impacted because of the willingness and dedication of the PMI community to improve society and advance social good.

American Business Awards®

Silver Stevie® Award Winner - Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year: Global Celebration of Service

The American Business Awards® have named PMI as the Silver Stevie® Award winner for Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year - At Organizations With Up to 2,500 Employees for our Global Celebration of Service initiative. 

In this campaign, PMI partnered with the United Nations to engage our stakeholders in pledging volunteer hours of community service aligned with their 17 Sustainable Development Goals. We tripled our original goal of 50,000 hours and achieved 151,874 hours pledged in 2019. Our service and commitment made a substantial impact on the PMI community. We continue to join together, fuel change, and make a difference in the world around us today.

America's Best Online Learning Schools 2022 - Learning Providers

For the first time, Newsweek and Statista are awarding institutions that offer learning courses or online college and university degrees to adult learners. The rankings are based on an online survey among 9,000 residents in the United States who have used online learning service offers to obtain an academic degree or acquire knowledge and skills for their professional and personal development via online courses.

The Telly Awards

Gold Award Winner - General: Not for Profit in the 41st Annual Telly Awards

PMI Educational Foundation received this award for outstanding storytelling in the video detailing their 2018 grant to Nelson Mandela Children's Fund (NMCF). The fund provided project management training, coaching, and resources to increase the nonprofit’s organizational capacity and enabled it to establish a project management office (PMO).

American Society of Association Executives (ASAE)

Power of A Silver Award Winner - The Power to Make a Better World

This achievement by the PMI Educational Foundation highlights innovative grantmaking for the PMIEF - CARE USA Initiative for Economic Recovery for Earthquake - Affected Producers and Entrepreneurs in Ecuador. The initiative strengthened the income-generating abilities of more than 500 Ecuadorian women producers and entrepreneurs through project management training. Their work resuscitated the country’s social and economic progress following its devastating earthquake in 2016.
