PMI offers a comprehensive certification program for practitioners with different levels of experience. The program supports a career framework in the project management profession. There are currently five credentials available and no one credential serves as a prerequisite for another.

For more information on all credentials and for details on PMI exam policies and procedures, read the online handbook for the credential in which you are interested. PMI encourages you to read the handbook before you apply for the credential. Use the online handbook instead of a printed version as changes occur regularly.
