PMI envisions a future in which “worldwide organizations will embrace, value and utilize project management and will attribute their success to it.”
To transform this vision into reality, PMI must recruit, develop and retain organizational leaders. As such, the development of leadership skills for members is one of our top priorities. More than 5,000 volunteers work with PMI on numerous projects. To nurture these individuals, the current and future voice of the organization, we have created the Leadership Institute.
If you are an active member of a PMI community or a volunteer on a project team, you may be eligible to participate in the Leadership Institute. This one robust program incorporates a variety of PMI’s leadership development activities to provide focused, consistent development and training to participants.
But leadership is not only a business skill. It is also a life skill, and the advances you make when participating in the Leadership Institute are ones that will transfer over into all aspects of your life, both personal and professional.
