PMI Project of the Year Award
Fluor Corporation was nominated by the PMI Southwestern Ohio Chapter for the work that Fluor did for the U.S. Department of Energy in cleaning up the Fernald high-grade uranium metal processing facility outside of Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. Click here to download the winning submission package.
PMI Distinguished Project Award
Stockholm Congestion Tax Project initiated a unique program to reduce vehicle congestion. The project successfully reduced traffic by 25 percent, while increasing public transit use by 40,000 riders per day.
PMI Fellow Awards
Louis J. Mercken, MBA, PMP, chief executive partner and chairman, Threon Group, Belgium. A PMI member since 1995, Mr. Mercken is a past member of the PMI Board of Directors and was the first PMI Chair from outside of North America.
Julie M. Wilson, PMP, practice executive and principal, IBM Global Services’ Global Technology Services. Ms. Wilson is credited with founding the PMI Specific Interest Groups (SIGs). She served on the PMI Board of Directors for six years.
PMI Linn Stuckenbruck Person of the Year Award
Eric Norman, PMP, PgMP, vice president and chief project officer, ChoicePoint Inc., Alpharetta, Georgia, USA, for his outstanding contributions to the project management profession and to PMI in 2006, including leading the development of the Practice Standard for Work Breakdown Structures—Second Edition.
PMI Eric Jenett Project Management Excellence Award
Walter Lipke, retired deputy chief of the Software Division at the Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center
for his outstanding contributions to the project management profession and, specifically, for the creation of the Earned Schedule (Copyright © 2003 Lipke) technique, which extracts schedule information from earned value data.
PMI Distinguished Contribution Award
Jeannette Cabanis-Brewin, co-author of several books on project management, including the AMA Handbook of Project Management and What Makes a Good Project Manager.
Miguel Saenz de Viguera, PMP, head of the Program for Project Management Excellence at Indra Systemas S.A., a Madrid, Spain-based IT and systems engineering company.
Dorothy J. Tiffany, PMP, a program executive in the Office of the Chief Engineer, National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Washington, D.C., USA.
Walter Majerowicz, PMP, deputy program manager for the Computer Sciences Corporation Program Analysis and Control II contract at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center.
