Are they a team that successfully delivered a complex project?

Then, submit for:

  • PMI Project of the Year

    This award recognizes outstanding project success in complex environments. It honors project management practices that deliver measurable organizational results, innovation, and elevate our world in alignment with PMI’s purpose.


    This award includes winners in four different categories:

    • Engineering and Technology
    • Construction and Infrastructure
    • Sustainability
    • Social Impact

    One overall winner will be named the Project of the Year.

Are they a high-performing PMO?

Then, submit for:

  • PMI PMO of the Year Award
    This award recognizes PMOs demonstrating performance, leadership, and value delivery within organizations. These PMOs advance project, program, and portfolio management practices—driving strategic alignment and generating effective value for their organizations.

Is it a PMI chapter team?

Then, submit for:

  • PMI Chapter of the Year
    This award recognizes PMI chapters that demonstrate exceptional performance, leadership, and impact in advancing the profession, supporting members, and contributing to PMI’s global goals through the dedication of their volunteer leaders and communities.
Recognize a professional in project management

Are they making outstanding contributions to the profession?

Then, submit for:

  • PMI Eric Jenett Person of the Year Award
    Spotlights an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the project management profession or its practice through leadership, technical project management, and strategic and business management acumen.

Are they helping to solve the social issues of individuals and communities?

Then, submit for:

  • PMIEF Kerzner Award for Excellence in Social Impact
    This award recognizes a Project Manager who has made important contributions to solve social issues and/or improving the quality of life, well-being, sustainable development of individuals or communities.

Are they under age 35 and advancing the project management practice?

Then, submit for:

  • PMI Rising Leader
    Recognizes and honors young professionals who have made a significant impact in advancing project management within their organizations or communities. These individuals exhibit exceptional knowledge, leadership potential, and a strong alignment with PMI standards, culture and ethics, contributing to the growth and evolution of the profession.

Are they making extraordinary, widely recognized contributions to the profession and PMI?

Then, submit for:

  • PMI Fellow Award
    The highest and most prestigious individual award presented by Project Management Institute for service to the Institute and the project management profession.
Recognize a PMI chapter leader

Is this individual strengthening a PMI chapter or region?

Then, submit for:

  • PMI Chapter Leadership Impact Award
    This award recognizes individual volunteer leaders whose exceptional service, leadership, and dedication have made a significant and lasting impact on the success and growth of a PMI chapter or mentor region.
Recognize an author

Are they author(s) of a project management book?

Then, submit for:

  • PMI David I. Cleland Project Management Literature Award
    Recognizes the author(s) of a published book that significantly advances project management knowledge, concepts, and practice.

Does their work advance the field of design, procurement, and/or construction?

Then, submit for:

  • Donald S. Barrie Award
    This award seeks to advance knowledge in the field of design, procurement, and/or construction by providing practical contributions and solutions to the engineering and construction industry.
Recognize a researcher

Does this individual’s research advance our field?

Then, submit for:

  • PMI Research Achievement Award
    Celebrates an individual or group of individuals whose work has significantly advanced the concepts, knowledge, and practices of project management.

Are they an emerging researcher in project, program, or portfolio management?

Then, submit for:

  • PMI Young Researcher Award
    Recognizes and celebrates emerging leaders in the academic field of project, program, or portfolio management with potential achievements to make a significant impact on the field and practice.

Are they a student with an original paper that advances project management?

Then, submit for:

  • James R Snyder Student Paper of the Year Award
    Recognizes excellence in student development of original concepts in project management that advance the concepts, tools, and techniques of managing project-oriented tasks.
Recognize an educator

Do they teach project management in higher education?

Then, submit for:

  • PMI Linn Stuckenbruck Teaching Excellence Award
    Honors faculty members for excellence in teaching project management curricula in higher education.
